Procedures for Importing Cement

LOI - Letter of Intent
ICPO - Irrevocable Corporate Purchase Offer
BCL - Bank Comfort Letter
FCO - Full Corporate Offer
POP - Proof of Product

1) Buyer issues enquiry and supplier gives soft price
2) Buyer issues LOI or ICPO on original company letterhead & it should contain all the following information along with BCL:

a) Total quantity (or quantity per month)
b) Contract length
c) Target price (including your commissions)
d) Destination port & country
e) Required cement specification
f) Method of payment
g) Buyer's bank details
h) full cordinates of the End Buyer, e-mail, phone/fax, Business address

3) BCL must be Current Date, on Bank Letterhead and Signed by 1 Bank Officers, no exceptions.
4) Seller then sends FCO.
5) Buyer returns approved FCO.
6) Seller Issues draft Contract. Buyer approves, signs & returns it to seller.
7) Seller Issues Final Contract.

8) THE BUYER SIGNS AND SEALS THE CONTRACT AND EXCHANGE THE HARD COPIES VIA DHL / UPS. AFTER THE SELLER HAS ACCEPTED THE VERBIAGE OF THE LETTER OF CREDIT THAT WILL BE ISSUED.

9) THE BUYER SENDS WITHIN 10 BANKING DAYS, PER SWIFT THE PRE-ADVISE OF THE IRLC FOR THE SELLERS ACCEPTANCE.

10) THE SELLERS POP AND 2%PB WILL AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATE THE LETTER OF CREDIT.

11) THE BUYER PROVIDES DETAILS FOR PORT OF DISCHARGE WITHIN THREE DAYS UP ON SEAL/SIGN HARD COPIES OF THIS CONTRACT.

12) SHIPMENT AS MENTIONED IN THE CONTRACT STARTS AFTER MUTUALY AGREED DELIVERY SCHEDULE AND CONTINUE UNTIL FULL QUANTITY, AMOUNT AND CONDITIONS
